These web pages constitue the portal of the Norwegian Bioinformatics Platform. This portal contains information
about training offered by the different members of the platform.
On-line bioinformatics tools are provided as well
as a forum where researchers can exchange questions
and comments on bioinformatics-related topics. The portal also give the possibility
to contact us and apply for various services such as
programming assistance or the visitor program. If you would like to keep informed about the
platform, please register to our mailing list.
FUGE - Norwegian Functional Genomics Program
FUGE is the Norwegian Functional
Genomics program and supports ten technical platforms in Norway.
FUGE is intended to contribute to a significant improvement in research
within Norwegian biotechnology. The main objective is to bring research
in functional genomics up to an international level.
Organisation
The FUGE bioinformatics platform is a joint project hosted by three partner organizations:
the University of Bergen (UiB) - project leader: Inge Jonassen
the University of Oslo (UiO) - project leader: Eivind Hovig
The platform is coordinated from the University of Bergen. Inge Jonassen is the project leader of the platform.
Bioinformatics expertise and infrastructures
built at the platform will promote functional genomic research in Norway. The platform
thus provides services and training to student and researchers, and works to strengthen
bioinformatics research and build Norwegian expertise.
Tools and courses are marked with different logos, to help identify where they originate from:
