Introduction

The NTNU node of the FUGE Bioinformatics Platform is shared by Faculty of Medicine (DMF) and Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology (NT).

Partners

• NTNU/DMF - The NTNU/DMF node is being coordinated by the Bioinformatics Group at Department of Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine (IKM). In addition to project administration and information the group also provides services in sequence analysis and homology modelling.
• Interagon AS: Interagon is the bioinformatics company that provides the high speed search technology based on the Pattern Matching Chip (PMC). They also provide expertise on PMC-based methods as well as related methods in bioinformatics.
• Sencel: The bioinformatics company Sencel provides very fast sequence searches based on standard PC architecture. The software can be installed on local computers.
• Rikshospitalet: The Bioinformatics Group at the Rikshospitalet University Hospital provides bioinformatics competence to the project.
• NTNU/NT - The NTNU/NT node is being coordinated by the research group of Bjørn Alsberg (Chemometrics and Bioinformatics Group) at Department of Chemistry. The group provides data analysis services and the open source software SciCraft.
